As a Mom to three kids I feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish everything that I need to do. Completing blog posts with a homeschooled 5 year old, a wild 2 year old and a newborn was challenging enough, then you add in the hours of editing client portrait sessions and I felt like I was stuck behind my desktop all day long. I would sit down and start work, then be called away for a homeschool lesson, or to feed the kids, to open paint, to clean up paint and then back to the desktop I went. If you’re a Mom, then you know that guilt comes easy, and to pile on feelings of work guilt on top of that because you feel unaccomplished, well that is just a recipe for massive amounts of stress.
We were getting ready to head to RI (a 16 hour drive that turned into 20- yikes, right?!) with the three kids and had the truck packed tight and I was upstairs getting ready to unplug my desktop to bring on the trip when my husband looked at me like I had three heads. I told him I had writing to do, photos to edit, e-mails to answer and he told me we would figure it out and to leave my big old desktop home. He mentioned that I should bring my old laptop… my dinosaur of a laptop that takes 5 minutes for my brush to move in my editing software from the time I first move my finger…. talk about ADDED stress. I know about 99.9% of you all have experienced the horrible frustration that comes with a slow operating system.
Y’all all of the planets aligned and I got a laptop on this trip! The day after we got in, Jay and I trekked over to Best Buy and I fell in love with the Dell Inspiron 7000 with the 8th Gen Intel® Core processor.
The sleek design and tablet capabilities of the laptop itself coupled with the lightning speeds of the 8th Gen Intel Core processor are every busy mom, blogger and photographers dream!
If you’ve been considering upgrading to a new PC but were on the fence, or you feel like you shouldn’t upgrade until your current PC stops working completely, I urge you to reconsider. Imagine shopping with built in security, binge watching Netflix in 4k, editing your photos and videos in lightening speed… sounds dreamy right? Trust me, you deserve to make it a reality! In today’s fast paced digital world I needed something fast and reliable. I couldn’t tell clients that I had a delay in the time to deliver their online photo galleries because my laptop was running slow, or because I never had the time to be stuck at my desktop!
There is an amazing selection of 2-in-1s and laptops- I settled on the Dell Inspiron 7000 series. I love how lightweight it is and the sleek design. It is fast and does everything I need it to do! The graphics are beautiful, you can create, edit and share 4k, VR and 360 content! How cool is that? Being able to move quickly between programs and tabs makes my experience so enjoyable. It’s stress free. I can carry my work from room to room and actually be present with my children and still meet a deadline, I can use it in the car (when my husband is driving, of course)- getting work done has never been easier!
Ada enjoys her homeschool websites and programs without any lag now and I am able to create our curriculum anywhere now! She also really enjoys bossing Cortana around…she asks Cortana questions constantly. I was so hesitant in the past for Ada to be near my dinosaur laptop but with 10 hours of battery life on my new PC, I can work and let her work without any fears of her tripping over the cord, or worse yet, tripping and pulling the laptop crashing to the ground!
The holidays are right around the corner and this is a perfect and affordable gift that your loved ones deserve! College students, photographer/videographers, gamers- everyone will benefit and appreciate the speed and quality of the new 8th Gen Intel Core processor! Simply choose your PC with the Intel 8th Gen Core processor, sneak the box home, wrap and watch the excitement and magic unfold on Christmas morning!
