Do you love Healthy snacks? I’ve partnered with Stonyfield® Organic YoKids® yogurt to share all of our favorites for the busy school year and I’m so excited to share with you!

If you’ve been following along with my blog, then you know that when it comes to feeding my family, I always choose healthy.

Since changing my name to “Mom,” I became so aware of how many foods that you find on those grocery store shelves are anything but healthy. Artificial coloring, sneaky names for processed sugar and don’t even get me started on all of the chemicals.

As a homeschool mom, I am responsible for not only meal time but snack time as well. Do you have a 5 year old? How do they eat throughout the day? Let me tell you, Ada will eat ALL DAY LONG! I am so blessed that my children love their healthy meals and snacks, but we go through them QUICKLY! This does allow me to sneak out on grocery runs more often, ahhh that solo time in the car with the windows rolled down, coffee in hand and “You’re Welcome” from Moana blaring through the speakers because, well, it is a pretty catchy song. You might even see me let down the mom bun!

Anyways, I actually JUST got home from Kroger and thought I would share with you the snack that always make it home with me!

  1. Almonds- raw, roasted, you name it and Ada will eat it! This girl takes after her momma and can eat almonds like crazy!
  2. Organic cucumber- Sliced. She doesn’t like them salted, she won’t touch salad dressing. Just cold, crisp cucumber slices.
  3. Fresh, organic fruit- Strawberries, blueberries and apples are at the top of her list!
  4. Stonyfield® Organic YoKids® yogurt- This is a family favorite and I would like to take a few minutes to tell you just why we love this brand!

For starters, the yogurt is USDA certified organic. This is huge. Think of all of the ingredients used to make one cup of yogurt- ALL of them are organic and non-GMO certified- no toxic pesticides, artificial hormones, antibiotics or GMOs! It’s all about that USDA certified label, y’all! Another thing for me, I think organic products just taste better. Next time you’re at the store buy organic strawberries and then buy non-organic and take them home and taste the difference for yourself. This means that they meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. Yay for aspiring to solve social and environmental problems!

Snacking comes in many forms for us- sometimes we are home, sometimes on the go. YoKids® comes in pouches, tubes, cups AND smoothies! The tubes are perfect for those warmer days because you can pop them in the freezer and eat them frozen; my kids LOVE them that way! I love the pouches for when I know we have a road trip coming up, the lid can twist back on so you don’t need to worry about spills while on the road! The pouches have also been great when we travel and bring our lessons to the beach. I just toss them in the cooler and its a perfect tasty, low sugar, cold snack to refuel and recharge that sweet big brain of hers!

I’m not sure about you, but I tend to find a brand I love and stick to it, exclusively. I honestly have worn the same brand and fit of jeans for years (seriously, since college) because when you find something that works, you don’t dare stray! We LOVE Stonyfield® Organic YoKids® yogurt!   1. Man it sounds like your little one eats just like me when I work for home. Snack time is all day long haha. Love these healthy treats to keep me from eating tons of junk!

  2. In the afternoon, my kids are HUNGRY! They need their snacks ASAP. Yogurt is a favorite, as well as fruit and granola bars. We haven’t tried this brand but I like it’s attributes. Also the strawberry variety seems like it will be a hit.
