Getting Ready for Back to (Home)School!

This post was sponsored by ACCO Brands as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

That time is upon us!

The time that so many parents across the nation are busy scrambling aisles and websites for the best of the best in back to school products and gear.

The options are overwhelming! Which backpack is the most supportive, yet also provides plenty of space and will help keep my child organized?

So many notebook options, which one is best for my child?

Just because I’m a homeschool mom does not mean that these are questions I don’t need to ask myself. In fact, its extra important to us and let me tell you why!

We don’t homeschool in the way I think many people picture. We take lessons outside, to trails for scavenger hunts, to the backyard on beautiful days. We travel to different places and find ways to use our lessons in a creative way wherever we go. SO it is so important to have “back to school” supplies to give us the ability to stay organized on ALL of our adventures!

With Five Star products we can take our lessons on the road, in the back yard, to the beach- wherever we go, our lessons can go too!

We were provided with backpacks meant to last full of back to school essentials to help us stay organized. Ada was so thrilled by the vibrant colored bags and the fun patterned notebooks and notebook add ons!

The Five Star backpacks come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, they are made to withstand the entire school year and they stand behind that promise! The Expandable backpack (pictured above in blue) has expandable pockets, patent-pending straps to help distribute weight (with is great for those of you with high school aged kids with giant history books!) and a padded laptop pocket! I will be using the Expandable backpack for myself on our homeschool adventures. A perfect way to carry my laptop, the curriculum, notebooks and binders, pencils, and other fun activities that we will use on our adventures!

The Big Mouth backpack (shown above in Berry) is also one of a kind! It’s patent-pending big mouth front zipper opens wide for easy access and visibility to all that is inside! Perfect for my little Kindergartner to quickly find what she needs in her first big girl backpack! It also has a padded laptop sleeve which is great for her to take the iPad on our adventure to use her learning based apps!

The notebooks, binders and accessories that can go inside of them make staying organized a breeze! Ada loves the fun color and print options and was quick to lay claim on which were “hers”. Oh, that five year old sass! She loves grabbing a pen or pencil and writing down math problems. She will write her problem (example 1+1= , 2+2= , etc) and pick flowers, or search for rocks to help her with solving the problem. this helps keep her focused in a fun way. Something about learning outside- it was always my favorite way to learn in school lessons!

The Tabbed Pocket Dividers and Tabbed Bookmark Dividers clip right into the notebooks and binders and help me keep my homeschool notes organized. They are color coded and help Ada know which section of her notebook is for her math, which is for her sight words and which is for her artwork.

Five Star has helped us get a great jump start on our homeschool year! What a perfect brand for not only homeschool moms and children, but also educators, and students of all ages!
