Hi y’all! Thank you SO much for checking out my very first blog post! I am happy to have you here, weather it is your first time finding me, or you have been a long time, loyal customer- Welcome!
For those who may not know the story, let me introduce myself…
My name is Brittney. I am a woman raised by some pretty incredible parents. I am a wife to an amazing, loving, encouraging, supportive and mighty handsome man. I am the mother of two incredible and wild and hilarious tiny humans- with one more on the way! I am an adoptive pet mom as well, we love our rescue hound, Wrigley- can you tell we are Chicago sports fans?
How my passion for sewing came to be…
When my daughter was two, pillowcase dresses were ALL the rage. I am a pretty crafty and determined person, so I decided to make one myself… with a needle and thread. When holding my hand one night, my husband said “oh my gosh Britt, your fingers!” Yep, my fingers were a MESS! I was sewing a heavy fabric with a needle and thread, what did I expect? It came out beautifully and she loved modeling it with her plastic princess “high heels” and I knew I had to make another. My husband is a quiet man and never said anything to me except, “get in the car”. We pulled up to Joann fabric and he told me that if I really enjoyed sewing to go in and pick out a machine. Just like that, my new passion started.
I am a self taught seamstress. My brand started out just over one year ago with bandana bibs after my son was born. I wanted to dress him in trendy clothes but had a hard time finding much, so I learned how to make the things I wanted in the modern prints I was after.
On his first birthday, I looked at photos of him as a tiny three month old, and he looked like a little man. I was so eager to dress my baby “cool” and “trendy” that I completely missed out on all of those snuggly PJ photos. That was when I decided to reconfigure my entire business. I want to provide my customers with timeless pieces. Pieces that can be handed down that won’t be out of style. I want my apparel to be worn to Great Grandpas 90th birthday party, and for Thanksgiving dinner and for lounging around the house on a lazy Saturday afternoon- I want versatile. I want you to be able to snuggle those little ones in the softest fabric and know you can feel at ease about their comfort, whatever the occasion may be.
I strive to find only the softest, high quality fabrics to clothe your little ones in. I take hours making each item you purchase with my own two hands. I love every piece I handcraft and I hope you love them as well.
Thank you again for stopping by, and taking the time to read a little bit about my family, my brand and myself.
